TROWERN DEFEATS PRINGLE. LOSER HEAVILY PUNISHED. (Received October 29, 1.5 a.m.) A. and N.Z. SYDNEY, Oct. 28. At the Sydney Stadium this evening Merv Williams fought a 15-rounds draw with Tommy Mclnnis. It was a fast and clever contest At the Newcastle Stadium Reg Trow ern (9.12), of New Zealand, easily de feated George Pnngle (10.2) in 11 rounds on a technical knock out. Trowern took the command from the commencement and out-boxed and out-fought his oppon ent. After receiving severe punishment Pringle went dowD in the 11th round to a heavy left to the jaw and was in such a bad way that his seconds threw in the towel.
