LOVELY HATS.
Summer will bring big hats, which after iil will be a welcome change, for although we cannot deny—or even wish to—the comfort of the cloche with top coats, furs, and tailored suits, writes an overseas correspondent, there still remains the fact that we arc heartily sick of the looking-all-alikeness.
Crinoline is the most favoured medium we are told. There will bo wide, droopy, floppy brims, in soft colourings with lots of flowers, and ribbon bows, with an occasional picture hat decorated with feathers. The all-black crin of diaphanous lightness will feature a large tulle flange outlining it, which will make a delicate shade for the eyes, while a large velvet ribbon around the crown falls in a simple knot on one side. Of exquisite daintiness, for a filmv frock, is the pink crin hat in a delicate tone, with a flange of tulle in the same shade, and a band of small velvet flowers with petals flattened out, in a deep rose colour —and shaned wider and brighter in the front than the back.
