SHOPKEEPERS FINED.
TRADING ON SUNDAYS. Stating the offence was becoming too common, Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday, fined seven shopkeepers for Sunday trading. Appearing for the third time, Frank Jenner was fined £5 for keeping his shop open on a Sunday for the purpose of trading, while a first offender, Samuei Slowther, was fined £2. Charged for the second time with selling on a Sunday E. Hopkins was fined £3, while Gertrude Bisen, J. Davis and E. Kimber were each fined £2. Myrtle Paul, who sold in her mother's shop, was fined £l. For failing to close his shop at 1 p.m. on the statutory closinc day. E. Kimber was fined £2
