THE NEW ALL BLACKS.
"PARTICULARLY FINE SIDE." C. G. PORTER'S TRIBUTE. UNBEATEN RECORD EXPECTED. [BY telegraph.—own correspondent,] WELLINGTON. Fnda* Discussing the selection of the New Zealand Rugby football team tor South Africa, C. G. Porter, captain of the All Black team which toured Great Britain in 1924-25, stated that the selectors were to be complimented upon choosing such a well-balanced side. *'l think the forwards are a particularly tine lot, having weight, pace and youth on their side," he remarked. "When they settle down to hard work and acquire combination. I cannot imagine a team ol forwards to equal them, lhe backs are a good all-round get, including some par ticularly good attacking as well as de tensive players ; and should take a lot ot stopping once they acquire a know ledge of one another's play. "I fully expect the 1928 team to return to New Zealand with a record equal to that of the 1924 25 team. We all hope that this will be the case and, if it is, the men of the 1924 team left behind on this occasion will be the first to congratulate them."
