OBITUARY.
MR. CHARLES M. WOODFORD. (Received October 7, 5.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z.-Sun. LONDON. Oct. 6. The death has occurred of Mr. Charles Morris Woodford, formerly Resident Commissioner for the British Solomon Islands, aged 75. Mr. Charles Morris Woodford was born in 1852 and oducated at Tonbridge School. He travelled and explored in the Western Pacific, especially in the Solomon Islands, from 1882-1889. He was formerly Deputy Commissioner at Samoa, and Resident Commissioner in the Solomon Islands. 1896-1914. ,
