SWIMMING.
THE WHANGAREI CLUB. OFFICERS FOR THE YEAR. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WHANGAREI, Friday. The annual meeting of the Whangarei Amateur Swimming Club was held this evening, when Mr. J. S. Dent presided. The following officers were elected: — Patron, Mr. W. Jones, M.P.; president, Mr K G. M. Kelly; vice-presidents, Messrs. L. J. Brake, J. W. Hollis, W. G Dudley and Mullis; committee, Messrs. Kellv, W. Jack, J. S. Reid, H. J. Pree'be, Dudley, J. NichoUs and Mullis; secretary, Mr. C. J. Maloney; treasurer, Mr W. R. Blennerhassett; delegate to the Auckland Centre, Mr. Kelly; auditor, Mr. A. Fairlie. The- treasurer gave details of receipts and expenditure, and said that on the whole the position of the club was very bright. Mr. Kelly pointed out that careful administration of the club funds was necessary and advised against the undertaking of fresh work until all liabilities were liquidated.
