ALLEGATION OF THEFT.
EX-ACCOUNTANT CHARGED. SUBSTANTIAL SUM INVOLVED. [BS TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] INVERCARGILL, Friday A charge of stealing £750, the property of the late Emily Clark, war preferred against Ernest Mabin >ilmour in he Police Court to-day. The police stated that there was a possibility that the amount involved would be ound to be greater. Accused was remanded for a week, bail being fixed at £3OO. An application for the suppression of his name was refused. POSTAL OFFICIAL IN COURT. PROCEEDINGS AT WANGANUI. [BY TELEGRAPH. OWN CORRESPONDENT. J WANGANUI. Friday In the Magistrate's Court to-day George an official in the Wanganui Post Office, was charged with the theft of £2 0s 4d, the property of the department. Detective Revell, in asking for a remand until Tuesday, said that other charges were pending and the amoqfit involved was approximately £l7O. Bail was granted in self £IOO and one surety of £IOO.
