WEEK-END WEATHER. HERALD'S SPECIAL FORECAST. The following weather forecast for 48 hours from ? a.m. to-day was supplied to us by Mr. H. M. Vincent last evening :—Squally and unsettled weather is indicated, with heavy showers, particularly in districts bordering on the west coast and m southern areas. Cold and wintry conditions are expected ahd snow on the higher levels in the south, hail and thunder heing indicated in western districts. Westerly to south-westerly winds, strong tn gale Rough seas on west coast. The Antarctic disturbance from thf Tasman Sea is now centred in the South Island. The Government meteorologist reported last evening as follows:—Present indications are for strong and squally winds between north-west and south-west; weather clouding over generally and rain probable soon in the western districts •southward of Cape Egmont and in Otago.
