PURCHASE OF PICTURE.
TINTORETTO FOR MELBOURNE ACQUIRED BY FELTON BEQUEST. A. and N.Z. MELBOURNE, Sept. 21 The trustees of the Felton bequest have purchased for the National Art Gallery Tintoretto's famous picture of a Doge of Venice, Pietro Loredano, from the collection of Prmce Lichnowsky, formerly German Ambassador to Britain. The price was 14.000 guinea*.
