A feature of the programme to be sent out by the Auckland station this evening will be a studio v concert by the Aeolian Orchestra. The orchestra's numbers will include marches, waltzes and classical selections. , ' From IYA at 7.30 this evening Mr. E. H. Skeates will give a talk about, the garden, with seasonable hints. The band of the First Battalion. Wellington Regiment, will provide the bulk of the programme from the Wellington station this evening. Mr. Johannes C. Andersen, librarian of the Turnbull Library, will continue his talks on native birds from the Wellington station at 9.8 this evening, his subject this time being the cuckoo. Mr. Andersen is an acknowledged authority on bird life and natural history generally. A new combination, the Christchurch Broadcasting Trio of Instrumentalists, will be heard for the first time from the Christchurch station this evening. The Christchurch Municipal Band will also contribute to the programme. Listeners-in will- have a wide choice of band music this evening, for the Dunedin station will also broadcast several items by the band of the First Battalion, Otago Regiment. TO-MORROW'S FEATURES. Christian: 7.34 p.m., talk on "Brief History of Aviation and a Summary of the Growth and Development of the Aeroplane," by Flight-Lieutenant S. R. Grover; 8 p.m.. concert programme, including selections by studio orchestra ; vocal and instrumental items. DEMPSEY-TUNNEY FIGHT. BROADCASTING ARRANGEMENTS. There is every prospect of listeners in New Zealand being able to pick up an account of the iWmpsey-Tunney fight, which is to take place about 10 p.m. today, standard Eastern time :n the United States. This is equivalent to approximately 2.50 p.m.. New Zealand time, tomorrow. The broadcasting station, WLW. Cincinnati. Ohio, operating on a wave-length of 52 metres, will broadcast an account of the fight. It is possible, also, that the station 2XAQ, operating on a wave-length of 22 metres, will broadcast a description of the contest.
