LEAGUE FOOTBALL.

PROPOSED BULLER MATCH. JUNIOR PLAYERS CENSURED. DONATIONS MADE TO CHARITY. The Management Committee of the Auckland Rugby League met last evening. Mr. G. Rhodes presiding. The Buller League telegraphed stating its representatives would be prepared to play Auckland, provided the team's expenses were met. It was decided, on the recommendation of the Advisory Committee, to offer the Duller League 60 per cent, of the gate-takings The Referees' Association reported its members had discussed the incident of rough play that occurred toward the close of the receirt match between Ponsonby and Devonport. The report was received and a copy will be forwarded to the Ponsonby Club. The Junior Management Committee advised that an extensive inquiry had been held into the conduct of the Richmond and Deyonport fourth grade teams in a match at Car Saw Park. The clubs concerned had severely censured the players. It was unanimously decided to forfeit the club rights to portion of the gate money at last Saturday's match, and to donate the amount to charity, as follows.—St. John Ambulance. £3O; Rev. Jasper Calder's Relief fund. £10; St. Vincent de Paul Society, A'lo. Mr. C. Adamson made a strong appeal tor assistance to the Mayor's unemployment relief fund. His suggestion that a match should be arranged in aid of the fund was approved. A committee was appointed to report. The Auckland Ladies' Hockey Association wrote expressing thanks for the monetary assistance given toward the touring team fund. FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY.
