CHAMPIONSHIP FIXTURE. Y.M.C.A. DEFEATS TRAMWAYS. SCORE OF TWO GOALS TO NIL. Y.M.C.A. defeated Tramways by b coals to 0 in a championship match at the Outer Domain yesterday afternoon. Both teams were below strength and in ■ the opening stages Y.M.C.A. played with only nine men. Tramways attacked early on the right, but Bach cleared. Bridges and Humphreys were prominent for Y.M.C.A. and Riddolls missed a fine scoring chance. Keeping up the pressure. Y.M.C.A. had the Tramways defence hard pressed. A free-kick was awarded to Y.M.C.A. and Otters drive struck the crossbar. A fine effort by Kiddolls just failed. Batty having to concede a corner. Y.M.C.A. carried piay to the Tramways territory, where Bridges neatly beat Watson and gave Batty no chance with a good shot.
