A CHARITY BALL.

THE BENEVOLENT SOCIETY. ZIONIST SOCIETY'S HELP. A most successful grand Arabian gala night was held at Dixieland Cabaret last evening. The function was organised by Mrs. Alfred Nathan and Mrs. A. Follick for the New Zealand Ladies' Zionist Society, of which Mrs. David Nathan is president. The funds raised will be devoted to the Auckland Ladies' Benevolent Society. The cabaret was artistically decorated in gay and vivid Eastern colours, with streamers and lines of swaying coloured, lights. The members of the band wore picturesque costumes, representative #f the East. Between the dances cigarettes and sweets were sold by the following girls, who wore the flowing robes of the harem: —Misses R. and E. Feldman, N. McGinn,. E. Fraser, and R. P. and G. McNaughton.
