PRESENTATION.
MISS E. PARKES HONOURED. A very pleasant gathering took place at the Lyceum Club last evening when the members assembled to make a presentation to the daughter of the president. Miss Eileen Parkes, whose marriage takes place next week. ; ! ■ Mrs. B. Buttle, vice-president of the club, in making the presentation of a silver tea and coffee service and oak and silver-tray from the members, and a case of silver fish knives and forks from the executive, wished the guest of honour every success and all'future happiness. Miss Parkes, who was also the recipient of a lovely bouquet of pink cyclamen tied with pink satin streamers, charmingly thanked the members. Her mother, Mrs. W. H. Parkes, also expressed her deep appreciation of the very handsome gifts. An enjoyable musical programme was contributed by Miss Maida Hooker, Miss Bert a Carr, Mrs. Cyril Towsev, Miss B. Philcox, anil Mr. F. McCallum. Selections were also given by a string orchestra, consisting of Miss Walker, Miss Stevenson and Mrs. Friedlander, violins, Miss Tiarks, cello, and Mrs. C. Prime, piano.
