MECHANICAL WARFARE.
BRITAIN'S NEW FORCES. INSPECTION BY A MINISTER. (British Official Wireless.) A. and N.Z. RUGBY, Aug. 31. The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr. Winston Churchill, this morning inspected the new mechanical force for the British Army, which was drawn up in long lines and presented a striking appearance. It included tanks, largo and small, armoured cars, self-propelled guns, dragon tractors with gun-waggons, half-track lorries and six-wheelers used for the transport of troops. Immediately after tho inspection the troops entered upon tho concluding stage of their fortnight's strenuous training. This gave Mr. Churchill an opportunity of seeing the whole of the mechanised brigade in action.
