EGG EXPORT REGULATIONS.
Regulations governing the export of eggs and pulp were framed recently by the Federal executive council, reports an Australian exchange. The opinions of those actively engaged in the industry, both in the Commonwealth and abroad, had been received. The regulations provide that eggs shall be packed in two sizes, viz., (1) Pack to be nut less than 15£lb. net weight for each 10 dozen eggs, provided that no egg shall weigh less than two ounces; (2) Pack to be not less than 141b, net weight for each 10 dozen eggs, provided that no egg shall weigh less than lj ounces.
The eggs in each box must be fresh, clean, of uniform size, and good'in shape. The premises where the eggs and egg pulp are prepared, packed and examined for export must be approved by the department. The net weight of*the eggs in each box must be marked on the hoxes, as/well as the net weight of each long 100 (10 dozen). Provision, has been made for the issue *>f Government certificates in regard to •ach of the two packs of eggs. t
