POSTAL PACKET THEFT.
ADMISSION TO PROBATION. [by telegraph.—own correspondent.] HAMILTON. Thursday In the Supreme Court to-day a postman named Charles Ralph .Woods, aged 18, was admitted to probation for two years bv Mr. Justice Herdman, for stealing 30s from a postal packet. His Honor said that prisoner's previous record had been good, and he hoped (hat lie had learnt a lesson which he would remember all his life.
