PEOPLE PRAY FOR SAFETY. INTEREST IN EXPECTED BIRTH. (Received August *29, 1*2.50 a.m.) Sun. TOKIO, Aug. 28. The people of Tokio are listening intently for the sound of guns from the Imperial Palace to announce the expected birth. Hundreds of women are praying at the crates of the Palace for the safety of the Empress. Shrines and temples are crowded with people who are praying that the Royal child may be a boy.
