AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE SATURDAY MORNING'S CALL. There was not much business at Saturday morning's call on the Auckland Stock Exchange and quotations showed little variation In Government war loans and inscribed stocks the quotations were for the most part identical with those of the previous day In banks English, Scottish and Australian were available at £7 lbs. buyers £7 l2s. New South Wales were quoted ex dividend, buyers offering £44 and sellers asking £44 10s. In insurance .New Zealand*, were on the market at 40.*. bd, buyers 59s 9d. Pukekohe. report that at the weekly sale at then mart there were heavy entries in young pigs, for which prices •vere slightly lowei than realised at pre vious sales (rood weaners brought 22s to 25s poorei weaners. 14s to 20s. and stores, ,'jOs to £2 Soveral lines did not realise the reserve, and were not quitted Poultry came forward in good entries, and sold at prices equal to late sales, light hens realis mc Is lOd to 2s 2d . heavier hens. 2s fid to 4s 2d- roosters 4b ad to 10s. and ducks, 2s 7d ( o 3s 2d Vegetables were in good supply and found h ready sale. Cabbages brought 3s to 5s a bag and Is fid to 2s 6d a dozen loose' cauliflowers. Vb 3d to 6a a dozen; lettuce. Is a dozen-; leeks. Is to 3s a dozen bundles: carrots, 2s a "sugar bag; swedes Is 3d to Is fid a sugar bag- and kumaras, 5® 3d a sugar bag.
