UNEMPLOYMENT RELIEF.
g lCj In your report on oar street appeal for funds to relieve distress caused by unemployment, you mentioned that the Y.W.C.A. and the Salvation Army assisted us. Our sincere thanks are tendered to these ladies, and also to the members of the Auckland women's branch of the Labour Party, the Mayoress of Onehunga, and the other unfortunately very few public-spirited women who, at such short notice, rendered invaluable assistance to our cause. The total amount will be further increased when 28 boxes are > counted by the Citv Council treasury on Monday. We wish tc thank all those who have subscribed to oui funds, and appeal to those who have not yet assisted to forward their donations either to our office, 28, Swanson Street, or direct to the City Council, which is supervising the distribution of our funds. C. Lindsay. Secretary, Unemployment Association.
