SURFDALE SCHOOL.

A very pleasant social %vas held in the Surfdale School on the occasion of the "breaking-up" for the school holidays on Friday. A varied programme of songs, recitations and dances was given, the items being much appreciated by the visitors. Prizes were distributed to the successfnl pupils in the classes. On behalf of the children and residents, Mr. T. 0. Kirkpatrick; chairman of the school committee, presented the teacher, Mrs. Garside, with a solid leather suitcase. (
