YOUNG MEN IN COURT. " MENACE TO THE PUBLIC." [BY TKLEGHAPH. —PBESS ASSOCIATION. ] WELLINGTON, Saturday. Three young men, Trevor John Cameron, aged 21, who pleaded guilty to two charges of arson, Ernest Llewellyn Jones, aged 20, who pleaded guilty to charges of arson, attempted arson, cutting telegraph wires and placing an obstruction on a railway line, and Richard Dennis Reichenbach, who*jpleaded guilty to charges of cutting telegraph wires, appeared before Mr. Justice MacGregor in the Supreme Court to-day for - sentence. All the offences were committed-at Palmer ston North. It was stated that hitherto the offenders' names had been suppressed on account of a doctor's certificate that two were sub-normal. Mr. Ongley addressed the Court on behalf of Jones and Cameron. The Crown Prosecutor said the, parents of Jones and Cameron had lost all control over the boys. There was no doubt they were a very serious menace to the public. His Honor said he saw no reason to suppress any of the Jones was the ringleader, and apparently had more initiative and more mentality than the others. He would commit Jones and Cameron to the Borstal Institute for a period not exceeding three years. Reichenbach would be admitted to probation for two years, on the payment of £3 toward the costs ojPthe prosecution.
