ARMLESS ARTIST DEAD.
BRUSHES HELD IN MOUTH.
ROYAL ACADEMY EXHIBITOR. Mr. Bartram Hiler, who. having lost both arms, wielded brush, pen and pencil with his mouth and won Royal Academy fame, died recently in Bristol at the age of 53. At the age of eight he fell under a tram and had both arms cut off at the shoulder, but with amazing will-power he learned to draw and paint. In 1908, 1909 and 1912 he was an exhibitor at the Royal Academy, while Queen Victoria- and Queen Alexandra were purchasers of his work.
