PROPOSED VISIT TO FRANCE. M. POINCARE'S WARM APPROVAL. (Raceived August 20, 5.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z. PARIS. Aug. 20. The Premier, M. Poincare, has sent the following message to the "Old Contemptibles" : "France would certainly be very happy if m a few months' time the British Legion, in association with the Australians, New Zealanders, Canadians and South Africans, were to organise a visit similar to that which the American Legion is making to Paris." "The ex-service men of the British Empire would be assured of receiving from their French brothers-in-arms a very warm welcome."
