AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE. FAIR BUSINESS ON SATURDAY. Only fair business was transacted on the Auckland Stock Exchange at thG single call on Saturday. There was very little interest in Government securities, but buyers offered £9B 10s, an advance of 5s for Inscribed Stock, 1929, 5 per cent., holders £99. In banks New South Wales changed hands at the current price of £44 15s. New Zealands were slightly easier, a sale being made at 58s 3d, a decline of threepence on the price current since the beginning of the month. Unions were sought at £l4 19s, sellers £ls 2s 6d. In insurance buyers renewed current offers for New Zealand and South British, but holders were silent. In coal Hikurangis appreciated threepence, a sale being made at 3s 3d. In miscellaneous Milne and (Jhoyce, debenture stock, had sale at 23s 6d, the current price. Wilsons Cements were sought at 345, but sellers did not respond. In mining New Waiotahis, contributing, were done at 9d, the price current at the previous sale, and Occidentals, contributing, had sale at 7d. Waihis were sought at 19s 3d, but sellers asked 19s 6d, the figure at which the last sale was made. The following sales took place:—Bank of New South Wales, £44 15s; Bank of Now Zealand, 58s 3d; Hikurangi Coal, 3s 3d; Milne and Clioyce, debenture stock. 23s 6d; New Waiotahi, contributing, 9d; Occidental, contributing, 7d.
