DAYLIGHT SAVING BILL.

Sir, —May I seek enlightenment as to what exactly is the objection to this bill from the farmers' point of view. I have read sundry protests and forebodings of a general nature uttered 1 by persons claiming to speak for the farming community, but have seen no specific instances given of cases- in which hardship must result. Not being able off-hand to see that the fanner must of necessity be prejudiced I should be glad if any farmer will explain the anticipated difficulties. If it appears that these are real I believe there will be many, like my self, who. while believing that the prac tice of daylight saving would substanti ally benefit the moral and physical health of the city dwellers, would be opposed to the measure if it were clear that it would add to the burdens of the farmer. A.C.
