SACCO-VANZETTI TRIAL.

AUCKLAND DEMONSTRATION. A red flag fluttered bravely above the heads of about 400 people who gathered in Quay Street yesterday afternoon to hear addresses of protest by members of tho Auckland branch of the Communist Party against the proposed execution of tho two Italians, Sacco and Vanzetti, who were found guilty of murder in Boston, United States. The text of a cablegram sent to the State Governor of Massachusetts was read by one of the speakers. This stated tho workers of New Zealand emphatically protested against tho execution of the two men. The message said that huge mass meetings had been held throughout New Zealand and that resolutions of protest were passed at each. Tho meeting continued for over two hours and several addresses were given. Pamphlets containing an account of the trial were sold among tho crowd. At tho conclusion of tho meeting a section of those present removed their hats and joined in the singing of the Rod Flag, after which cheers were given for the Red International.
