progress of the scheme. In spito of wet weather' steady progress continues to be made in connection with the Edendale drainage scheme. The tunnelling of St. Luke's Road is proceeding apace and the contractor hopes to have this portion of the contract completed well up to time. Cabbage Tree Swamp has shown an appreciable fall during the past few weeks, this being due to soakago and the comparatively lighter rainfall.
