BLOODSTAINED GLOVE.

MYSTERY - OF STOLEN CAR. MASTER OF SEMPILL'S LOSS. LONDON. Aug. 11. The discovery of the blood-splashed wreckage of a stolen saloon motor-car, which was abandoned in a ditch on the London-Brighton road, has provided an intriguing mystery. The car was stolen from the Master of Sempill, the heir of - Lord Sempill, a well-known engineering expert. It was recently announced that the Master of Sempiil was associated with Major Segrave, the famous racing motorist, in the development of a new "free-wheel clutch" which it was claimed would revolutionise motoring. The design had interested the wellknown manufacturer of cars, Mr. Morris, from whom the Master of Sempill obtained a car to conduct the experiments. The Master of Sempill suggests'that the thieves were aware of this. The sole clue is a woman's bloodstained glove.
