SENSATIONAL EPISODES. FIREMAN FALLS INTO FLAMES. LONDON. Aug. 7. A fire which broke out late last night in the factory of the Eastern International Rubber and Produce Trust., Ltd., in the city, sent 100 people scurrying frantically from adjoining houses. A laundry proprietor carried out his wife, who was hugging a baby only a few days old, and then collapsed. Neighbours carried them to safety, where they recovered. A fireman who was playing water on the flames from the roof tumbled into the roaring fire as a beam collapsed. His comrades dug him out in an unconscious state from the debris, and ho was taken to hospital. The street presented an indescribable scene/being stacked up with furniture and filled with terror-stricken horses, and running women and children.
