OPERATIONS AT WAIPU. INCREASE IN PRODUCTION. DIVIDEND OF 5 PER CENT. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WHANGAREI. Friday. The annual meeting of suppliers of the Waipu Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, was held yesterday, Mt. D. H. McKenzie presiding. The report stated that the net average payment of all grades for the year was 14.956 d. Allowance to the extent of £353 10s had been made for depreciation on plant and buildings, and £SO placed to the reserve account, after which there remained a balance of £25 17s Id. The directors recommended a dividend of 5 per cent, on fully-paid-up shares, thus absorbing approximately £143. In referring to the great increase in the butter production for the province during the past season, the chairman quoted the following comparative figures to illustrate that the Waipu suppliers had not been dilatory. The average increase per supplier for_the past season over the 1925-26 season, for the respective factories, was as follows:—Kaitaia, 11311b.; Maungatapere, 8781b.; Hikurangi, 8521b.; Waipu, 8251b.; Kaipara, 7021b,; Hinuera, 6331b.; Maungaturoto, 6121b. A return supplied by the secretary showed the ten largest suppliers for the 1526-27 season to the Waipu dairy factory to bo as follows: —Messrs. F. Sloane, 17,52011). butter-fat; T. Wilson, 14,1131b.; H. Hewlett, 14,0931b.; D. J. McLean, 13,1141b.; C. Mcßae, 12,4631b. first herd, and 23561b. second herd; J. P. McKay, 11,4871b.; K. McCaulay, 11,4731b. f N. E. McKenzie, 11,1071b.; E. Draffin, 10,2111b.; D. J. McKay, 10,1101b. Five nominations were received for three vacancies on the directorate, and Messrs. D. H. who has been on the board for 27 years, R. R. McKay and D. J .McLeod were elected. RETURNS FROM CHEESE, HAURAKI PLAINS FACTORIES. [BY telegraph.—own correspondent.] THAMES. Friday. Interesting comparative figures of cheese returns to suppliers of the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company's Hauraki Plaius factories were given by Mr. Parlane at the annual meeting of the Huirau Road factory, Turua. Mr. Parlane said the Shelly Beach factory pay-out of Is 5.41 d was the highest of any of the company's factories, and possibly was a Dominion record for the seasom At this factory the supply was kept up tor a long period. The payout for the Huirau Road factory, where the supply was smaller ana the season shorter, was Is 4.06 d. The payments at the company's other factories . were Eureka, Is 4.65 d; Hairini, Is 4.63 d; Hikutaia, Is 4.4 d; Manawaru, Is 4.45 d; Matamata, Is 4.86 d; Matatoki, Is 4.56 d; Orini, Is 4.75 d; Rukuhia, Is 4.48 d; Wharepoa, Is 4.48 d; and East Tamaki, which also had a town milk supply trade, .Is 6.41 d. The grading of the milk received at the Huirau Road fatcorv was 95.07 per cent., finest, and 4.93 per cent,, first, and at Shelly Beach 87.55 per cent-., finest, and 12.45 per cent., first. The average grade of the cheese manufactured during the season at Huirau Road was points, and at .Shelly Beach, 91.288 points. OUTPUT AT MATAMATA. INCREASE ON LAST YEAR, [by telegraph.—OWN- CORRESPONDENT.] MATAMATA, Friday. The annual meeting of suppliers to the Matamata cheese factory was held yesterday, Mr. B. C. Taylor presiding. The meeting was addressed by Mr. C. J. Parlane, assistant-manager, and Mr. S. Dixon,, cheese supervisor. Payments were announced as follows: —Final, Is 4.83 d; average , advance, Is 2.95 d, plus 2.68 d per lb. bonus. The bonus will be paid out at the end of August. . The output for 1926-27 was 857 tons, an increase of 37 tons over that of the previous year. THE KAITCEKE COMPANY. NOMINATIONS FOR DIRECTORS. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TAUMARONUI, Friday. Owing to retirement by rotation, two vacancies have occurred on the directorate of the Kaitieke Co-operative Dairy Co., Ltd., and the following nominations have been received for .the positions Central ward: Mr. S. Knight, Ongarue; Mr. J. A. Goodsir, Taumarunui. South ward: Mr. G. Flynn, Owhango: Mr. C. J. Brown, Owhango. Ballot papers have been circulated among the shareholders, and are to be returned bv September 2.
