MAKING A LAVENDER FAN.
When lavender is in bloom again, why not make «-l fan? Jt is charming, and here is the way to do it. First cut two pieces of organ diet muslin in either pink, white, or lavender, the shape shown in the picture, each being about 3in. deep. Next stitcli on at regular intervals sprigs of lavender as shown in the. picture. This dono, lay the second piece of lavender on top of the first, and tack it neatly along the top, bottom, and sides of the fan, finally hiding the stitches with either fine gold braid or silver beads. Fold your fan like a paper one. the crease coming in the middle of the space between your lavender sprays. Now tie the ends together with ribbon to match the muslin, and place the fan beneath a heavy book to press the creases.
