AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE. THE WEEK'S TRANSACTIONS. Average business was transacted on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday. In Government securities War Loans, 1930, per cent., changed hands at £97 10s, a reduction ,of 5s on the price paid earlier in the week. War Bonds, 1927, 5 per cent., which have, not had sale since March, were done at £9B 15s, compared with £9B 17s 6d at the earlier date. In banks Commercials of Australia had sale at 27s 6d, the current price, and the market closed firm at 27s 9d and 27s 3d. New. South Wales were available at £45, late buyers £44 10s. Unions of Australia were done at the current figure of £ls, the market closing at £ls Is and £l4 18s 6d. Holders of New Zealand Insurance did not quote in response to offers of 40s. In loan and agency Goldsbrough, Morts had the second sale of the week at 45s 3d. In miscellaneous Colonial Sugars were done at £52 2s 6d, compared with £sl 5s at the previous sale early in July. Farmers' Fertilisers sold at 755, a drop of 5s on the last sale six weeks ago. In mining Waihis appreciated by 3d, selling at 19s 6d at the first call, and more were available at that figure, buyers 19s 4d. Following is a summary of transactions since Friday of last week. In the second column is given the return, based on the last dividend, from investment at.the quoted price. In tho case of Government and other redeemable securities the return "includes redemption.
