LARGE SUM MISSING.

SOLICITOR IN COURT. ACCUSED ADMITS OFFENCES. COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION. ] GISBORNB. Friday. A theft of £1350 by misappropriation was alleged in the Gisborne Magistrate's Court this morning against John Noden Buliard, solicitor, who recently pleaded guilty to ten charges of a similar nature, and who was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. To-day's charges concerned amounts received from two other clients and allegedly unaccounted for. An official of the Public Trustee's Office deposed that- in one estate taken over from Billiard there was no record of £750, which had been cleared on a mortgage being credited to the account. The trustee was handling seven other estates taken over from defendant's firm. An examination of documents revealed a shortage of approximately £6900. Accused pleaded guilty, and was committed for sentence.
