AUCKLAND BOY'S SUCCESS. Midshipman George I). Tancred, of Ii.M.S. Royal Sovereign, has won the Beresford Cup, presented by the late Lord Charles Beresford as the r.rize for a sailing race between ships' boats in service rig, according to advice received by the Australian Navy Office from Admiral Sir Roger Keyos, Commander-in-Chief in the Mediterranean. Midshipman Tancred is a soil of Mr. G. H. L. Tancred, of Remuera, and was educated-at the Waitaki High School.
