[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TE KUITI, Thursday As a. result of the recent agitation by loaal bodies in the Auckland district against the non-payment of rates by native landowners, and the converting of a conference at Te Kuiti on August 25, a largely-attended meeting of King Country natives held at the local wharerunanga decided to send a representative deputation of all the tribes and hapus of the Rohe Pot.ae to Wellington to put the native viewpoint before the Government. The deputation, which will comprise 25 leading chiefs, will leave Te Kuiti on Monday evening, August 22.
