VICTORIA LEAGUE.

The monthly meeting of the Victoria League Ever Ready Committee was held in the league rooms on Wednesday afternoon, Mrs. John Re id presiding over a large attendance of members. The secretary reported that the concert given by the sub-committee was a great success, and a sum of £93 was in hand toward the equipping of cot for the hospital. On the motion of Miss Mowbray a hearty vote of thanks was passed to the girls 'for their efforts. Final arrangements were made for Daffodil Day, and it was decided this year that the Ever Ready Committee should take charge of twc stalls. After the meeting an afternoon tea was given in honour of the Misses Florence and Celia Murray, who have been in England for the last 16 months, and to Mrs. Faire, who is leav ; ng New Zealand to make her horn; in England. Mrs. John Reid welcomed home the Misses Murray and presented each with a posy of flowers. She also fareweiled Mrs. Faire. and presented her with a leather handbag as a slight token of esteem arcl appreciation of the splendid work she had done on the committee.
