NEW ZEALAND HERALD.

CERTIFIED CIRCULATION.

OVER 53,000 PER DAY.

NET PAID SALES. A DOMINION RECORD. The progress of Auckland is written in the steadily rising circulation of the New Zealand Heeald, and a fresh record in newspaper circulation has been established by the certificate of 53,000 net paid sales which is published to-day. The Herald, by means of special deliveries, is now able to reach Hamilton in time for breakfast, Rotorua by mid-day, and Russell and New Plymouth before dinner. The backbone of the Herald's vast circulation, however, is in'the city, and a great feature has been the recent subdivision of the runs in all directions in order to facilitate eafty deliveries in 'own and suburbs. This growth of circulation has needed more machinery, and the Herald has recently installed a double sextuple Hoe printing press, the largest machine of its kind in this'city. The output of this machine is equivalent to 80,000 16-page papers per hour. The auditors' certificate of circulation is as follows: — NET SALES CERTIFICATE. We, the undersigned, after a careful investigation of the publisher's books, have ascertained the average net paid circulation of the New Zealand Herald for, the 12 months ended March 31, 1927, and hereby certify that it is in excess of 53,000 copies per day during the whole of that period. J. A. Duncan, George W. Hctchison, Public Accountants.
