I fCY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] NGATEA, Thursday Certain difficulties in connection with the local weekly social functions have been overcome by the appointment of a combined Sports Committee, which will organise and control the functions and pool the proceeds. At a meeting of the trustees of the N gat on llall Society, at which Mr. (5. J Davidson presided, it was decided to lease the hall to the combined Sports Committee on Saturday evenings for three months The secretary, Mr. S. Tarver, reported that the receipts amounted to £3l, and tho expenditure tr> £26. There was a bank overdraft of £217.
