THAMES AND OHINEMURI.

G ENEBAL SATISFACTION. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] THAMES, Wednesday. L'he general feeling throughout the riKunes and Ohinemuri electoiatcs is in agreement, with the final decision of the Representation Commission in connection with the alteration of electoral boundai le.s. Surprise is expressed in the Ohiuemuri district at the change of Hauraki as the name for the provincial Mercer electorate. Local body representatives there say that the name, Hauraki, conveys nothing to residents of the Mercer district, which receives about one-third of the llauraki Plains County. They argue that it would have been better to have bestowed the name Hauraki on the Thames electorate, with which it has been much more ititi ma' eh associated. e Hauraki Plains County is now allocated, roughly in three parts, equally between the Thames, Hauraki and Waikato electorates. The township of Ngaten is just inside the boundary of the new .Hauraki electorate. Satisfaction is expressed at the inclusion of Waihi Beach in the Thames electorate.
