WEDDINGS.

A pretty wedding was held at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomson, Te Kuiti, when Ella, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomson, was married to Jack, son of Mr. Gloyn, of Auckland. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. R. Miller. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of mauve erepe de chine, with a black picture hat, and carried a bouquet of spring flowers. Miss Evelyn MacDonald attended her as bridesmaid, and wore a frock of pink satin and a black hat, and carried a bouquet of spring flowers. Mr. Harold Ash attended the bridegroom as best man. The marriage was solemnised last evening at the Church of the Epiphany, Auckland, of Mr. Arthur Plavle, only son of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Plavle, Parnell, to Miss Maie Moriartv, of Epsom, and late of Melbourne. The Rev. K. George Coats officiated, and Mr. John Tait presided at the organ. The church had been artistically decorated for the occasion. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of Mr. Arthur Stevens, looked charming in a gown of ivory satin beaute and silver lame. Her veil was of embroidered tulle draped from a coronet of orange blossoms. A white shoyver bouquet with tulle streamers was earned. Miss Winifred Stevens acted as bridesmaid, and wore heliotrope taffeta trimmed with silver lace, with a head-dress of silver leaves. She carried a shower bouquet to tone. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. E. J. Hewitt as best man. A pretty wedding took place at St. Patrick's- Cathedral yesterday morning, when Miss Rosemary Darby, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Darby, of Auckland, was married to Mr. John Casey, son of Mr. and the late Mrs. Casey, of Raupo, Northern Wairoa. The Rev. Father Shaw officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of powder-blue crepe faille and cream lace. A cream Brussels net veil was caught with a chaplat of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of white flowers. The chief bridesmaid, Miss Phyllis O'Grady, of Whangarei, wore a Victorian frock of rose shot taffeta. The other two attendants, Misses Jessie and Mario Mackay, were in wisteria and lemon brocaded crepe faille and apricot brocaded crepe faille respectively. They each carried bouquets harmonising with thoir frocks. Mr. Walter Darby was best man, and Mr. Joseph Darby and Mr. Robert Darby acted as groomsmen.
