WEMBLEY STADIUM.

GREYHOUND RACE-TRACK. COMPANY FORMED AT HOME. (Received August. 17, 5.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z. LONDON, Aug. 17. The huge success of greyhound racing in London and in the provinces has resulted in a plan to make Wembley the world s greatest centre of that sport. A company has been formed under the leadership of Lieutenant-Colonel Charles Darley "Miller, managing director of the Roehampton Club. The capital is £250,000, the subscription of which is to be offered to the public on August 29. The company has bought the Stadium and the surrounding land at Wembley for £150,000 from the present, owner, Mr. Londer Elvin, who bought it from the liquidators of the Beecham Trust, Ltd., for £120,000. It is proposed to commence greyhound racing before December.
