FAT STOCK MARKET.

WEEKLY WESTFIELD SALE. BEEF PRICES MAINTAINED. EASIER VALUES FOR SHEEP. There was a marked improvement in the quality of the beef offered at the weekly WestficlcJ fat stock sale yesterday. Competition was keen and last week's improved values were easily sustained. The top price was £l6 10s, which ••/as paid for fat steers from Mr. B. Reed, vVaerenga. There was a good yarding of sheep and although competition was steady prices were slightly lower. LamCs came forward in small numbers and on the whole there was little change in values. Pigs wore in short supply and toward the end of the sale the demand was very keen. Quotations show an improvement. There was an average yarding of calves and quotations are slightly lower.
