FADING OF 2YA STATION. On Monday evening a defect became apparent in the transmitter at IZB, but it is expected the usual transmission will take place next Monday At a meeting cf the Auckland Radio Dealers' Association last week it was decided the time was inopportune for the holding of a Radio Olympia, as proposed by the Auckland Listeners' League. "A private'.y-owned broadcasting station Is now operating in Dunedin. The callsign is 4ZL and the wave-length is 245 metres. The programmes mainly comprise gramophone items, and the nights of transmission are Mondavs and Fridays. The Wellington station-. 2YA. has commenced regular afternoon transmiss : ons the programmes cons'st : nsr of selected gramophone records and instructive talks.
