OBITUARY.
MR. RICHARD KEENE. The death occurred suddenly on Tuesday of -Mr. Richard Keene, of Prospect Terrace, Mount Eden, at the age of 68 years. Mr. Keene had only recently come to Auckland, having formely lived in Wellington. He carne to New Zealand with his wife about 45 years ago and settled in Wellington, where he carried on house building on an extensive scale. He later became a land owner and at one time he held 150,000 acres of land, including the Parenga estate, at the North Cape. He was a member of the Wellington City Council for several years) He is survived by Mrs. Keene and seven sons.
