FELLOWSHIP APPOINTMENT. [by telegraph.—-freps] Association. 1 WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Acting on tho recommendation of tha Research Fellowship Committee, the council of Victoria University College tonight approved of the appointment of Mr. J. S. Phillips for the fisheries research fellowship. In making its recommendation the committee, which consists of representatives of the college and of the Wellington Acclimatisation t o" gether with the chief inspector of fisheries, stated that Mr. Phillips was' mentally and physically fitted for the work. He had also a good war record.
