PEARLS AND COMPLEXIONS.
Have you seen the new electric-blue pearls—necklaces, ear-rings, bracelets ? These pearls look charming when worn with blue frocks that are in the electric shades. They are also effective with black laco dresses, the shoulder-flower repeating the tint of the pearls. Stiver pearls are in tremendous favour with the ParisienneS. As a rule they are large and worn in a single string round the throat. Shell-pink pearls are eminently becoming to girls who possess a good skin and who habitually use rosetinted face powder. On the other hand, yellow-white pearls blend beautifully with mat-white skin and " Rachel " powder. It may seem a trifling point, but in reality it is vitally important. Your pearls, of whatever tint you select, rest on your skin, and to be effective they must seem to belong to it! Perfume in solid form is a favourite fit ment for the handbag. Painted black and gold boxes made Russian fashion so that the top oi one forms the base of another contain scents of bouquet, lilac, jasmine, ambre, narcissus, and rose.
