AIR MANOEUVRES TRAGEDY.
SQUADRON PLANES COLLIDE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received July 26, 7,10 p.m.) A. and N.Z 'LONDON, July 25. The Royal Air Force manoeuvres were to-day" marred by tragedy at the Northolt aerodrome in Middlesex. When the 17th Squadron was returning to the base Flying Officer Anderson's plane collided with the next machine and crashed. The pilot was burned to death in the sight of hundreds of spectators who were unable to approach the blazing machine.
The pilot in the second plane managed :o land safely.
