BUSY MOTOR THIEVES.

ACTIVITY IN CHRISTCHURGH.

TWO VEHICLES RECOVERED,

[BY TELEGRAPH. own CORRESPONDENT. ] CHRISTCHURGH, Tuesday.' Three motor-cars and a motor-cycle have been stolen in Christchurch since Saturday morning. No small amount of ingenuity was displayed by the person who drove away Mr. A. A. Johnson's car from outside the Masonic Hall, Gloucester Street, last evening. Mr. Johnson left the car with the gears locked. To-day the car was found near Cashmere Hills. The gears had been relocked, and tools and patching useful for a motor-cyclist were missing from the tool box. A quantity of petrol had been drained from the tank. Another car which was stolen recently was found with six gallons of petrol drained from the tank.
