The Mayor, Councillors and Citizens of the City of Auckland and the Auckland City Council, having obtained the necessary Statutory consent of the Local Government Loans Board, hereby give notice in pursuance of Section 10 of the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926: (1; That the Auckland City Council proposes to engage in the following undertaking, namely. Tramways and Transport Development by extending and duplicating the existing Tram Tracks, the erection of Omnibus Depots, including garages, the acquisition of the necessary land therefor, and the provision of new Tramcars. (2) That the Auckland City Council, being unable to provide the funds for such works out of its ordinary revenue, proposes to raise a Special Loan of not exceeding £500,000, and to be known as the Tramways and Transport Development Loan, 1927. (3) That the said Loan will bo repayable at the end of thirty years, with provision for a Sinking Fund of 1{ per cent, per annum. (1) That the proposed security for the said Loan shall be a Special Rate of i\d in the £ on the annual ratable value of all ratable property in the City of Auckland (5) That the Auckland City Council proposes to pay out of the Loan the costs, charges and expenses of and in connection with the raising thereof, but not the interest or sinking fund thereon for the first year.
